OUR COMMITMENT
Great Expectations Preschool is committed to ongoing community service and helping others. We strive for projects that are relevant to our community of children, families and educators. The Children’s Room, Arlington Food Pantry, Arlington EATS, Arlington Holiday Help Program, La Puerta Abierta Early Learning Center, Project Bread, and More Than Words are just some of the many organizations that our small school community has assisted over the years.

La Puerta Abierta Partnership
Our partnership with La Puerta Abierta (The Open Door) located in Santiago Atitlan began in 2016 when we welcomed a teacher from Guatemala as a volunteer during her six-week visit to the United States. Juanita worked with our children and teachers sharing songs, activities, and her traditional Mayan culture. A true friendship and cultural exchange was forged. Our Director, Carole, and Assistant Director/Teacher, Pauline, make an annual trip to Guatemala during the February school vacation bringing much needed supplies. We continue to work directly with the children, teachers and administration at La Puerta Abierta sharing materials, educational philosophies, curriculum ideas, and cultures.
